The variety of their calzone menu is great! They also have the " Build Your Own" option as well. The food is fresh and cooked to order. The staff are friendly and attentive. They have a variety of delicious fresh salads and old-fashioned soft drink flavors(Cream soda, Root beer...) along with the current soft drinks.

1st time trying & really liked this place, I will certainly be back. A salad is a must try when I do go back. All around service was excellent, staff was very helpful & informative about their menu. The drinks are great too, cute bathrooms as well. Good food & vibes are what you will get, which is a plus

It's been a while since I've been to a Sauce on the Side because I am from out of town, but I've always enjoyed it everything I've come. This time was no exception. I got a "Meat Me in St. Louis" which was exceptionally prepared with an abundance of toppings. Overall, the food was very tasty, the service was kind and efficient, and the restaurant was clean and well-organized.

I’m from out of town and this was my first time to eat at Sauce on the Side. I had the Fatty B calzone and it was honestly the best calzone I’ve ever had. It was cooked perfectly, loaded with flavor, and the price was really good too. I also loved their fountain drink selection. They had options from a small company instead of the usual brands, which was a nice change. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to.

Very impressed! The staff took a lot of time with my son and I to clarify and understand our food allergies and the options we could eat. (He has a dairy allergy and I have gluten allergy) They make their GF calzone crust in house. It came out quickly, had really good appearance, color, and flavor. And the portions are huge. The only downside I would say is a common thing at restaurants. They upcharge for allergy friendly/dietary adjustments. Add 4 for the GF crust. Dairy free cheese was an extra 1.50 with no credit for leaving off 3 kinds of regular cheeses. *Typical thing, just annoying for all of us who live in the world of upcharges.

This restaurant is right up my alley, so take it with a grain of salt when it say this place is amazing. The calzones were big and filling. You could split it but I think you would leave a little wanting. The options are as varied as your imagination. If you don’t like ricotta cheese make sure you tell them. The desert calzone we got, s’more, was delicious. My wife loved the beet salad she got, and the starter was her favorite thing. They serve an interesting brand of soda I’d never heard of - not coke or Pepsi.

I have not tried the infamous calzones but they looked delicious and freshly made. I got the small Beets Me salad with chicken and the portion was more than adequate for a full meal, but the plate it was served one was too small, the food was spilling out of it. The salad was delicious and not overly dressed though, and the service is superb. Parking is metered on the street on in nearby garages.
